    Floripa is surprisingly big, and with beaches across a long coastline and so many incredible places to visit, you are going to need to travel around to see the best of the island. 

    Uber and ride-hailing services are widely available throughout Florianópolis and are typically the easiest way to navigate locally, especially for shorter trips between beaches, restaurants, and nightlife hubs. If you plan to explore beyond the main areas, renting a car gives you maximum flexibility, though keep in mind driving times from North to South can easily stretch to 2 hours when the traffic is bad. Many of the island’s most untouched beaches and waterfalls are accessible only by hiking trails, not paved roads, so plan accordingly.
