Is Praia Mole Safe for Swimming?
Short answer: No — unless you are a confident swimmer.
Praia Mole is one of the most dangerous beaches in Florianópolis due to:
- Very strong rip currents

Nearby options like Barra da Lagoa or Campeche (on calm days) are far better.
Lifeguards at Praia Mole
There is one of the best-equipped lifeguard stations on the island.
Still, respect the red flags. When the lifeguards say “don’t go in,” they mean it.
